Bad Apple
Bad Apple – A Solid Spot for Game Day
We ducked into Red Apple in Lincoln Park for the Notre Dame game and left pretty happy with our pick. The menu covers the classics but delivers them with care. Staci’s smoked salmon plate was light, fresh, and well put together. I went for the wagyu burger (on a gluten-free bun) and it hit all the right notes—juicy, flavorful, and not weighed down like so many pub-style burgers. Melanie went traditional with fish and chips, golden and crispy without being greasy. Anthony tackled the patty melt, and it was rich, savory, and exactly what a patty melt should be.
Nothing missed. Everyone at the table said they’d come back, which tells you all you need to know—good food, relaxed vibe, and the kind of place that makes for an easy win on a Saturday afternoon.
