Fioretta – A Proper Italian Night Out

We stopped into Fioretta this week and had one of those meals that reminds you why Chicago dining is world-class. They are exceptional with allergies—rare to see a kitchen that not only takes it seriously but still delivers flavor and presentation at the highest level. Their gluten-free pasta isn’t an afterthought; they actually have the right shapes, and the cacio e pepe and vodka pasta were both outstanding.

From there, the table shared a ribeye carved for us—flavor packed, juicy, perfect. The halibut was another standout; cooked just right (not easy, since so many spots overdo fish) and lightly seasoned so the flavor carried.

We started with prosciutto and burrata, paired with delicate pear spirals—a playful and refreshing beginning. The old-school soundtrack playing throughout the night added to the vibe, like you were stepping into a timeless dinner party.

Fioretta isn’t just executing dishes well—they’re nailing the details that make you want to come back.
