Armitage Alehouse

Armitage Alehouse

Armitage Ale House checks all the boxes: killer atmosphere, great food, and one of those dining rooms that just feels good to be in. It’s old school, a little fancy, a little gritty—and somehow, it all works

We finally got a table (reservations here are no joke), and the meal lived up to the hype.

What We Ordered

We started with the Delice de Bourgogne—not gluten-free, so I sat it out, but the guys at the table were pretty enthusiastic. Based on reactions, we’ll call that one a hit.

Then came a solid lineup of mains:

  • “Meatless” Burger and Fries – Described as exceptional, with fries that may have permanently ruined all other fries for the person who ordered them.

  • Tikka Masala (Chicken) – Called “great” at the table, rich and flavorful.

  • Lamb Pot Pie – Another hit. Savory, hearty, and done right.

  • Tandoori Chicken – This one was mine, and I can confirm: absolutely fantastic. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and plated with care.

The Vibe

This is where Armitage really stands out. The space feels like something out of London—not overdone, but warm, worn-in, and elegant in a low-key way. Dim lighting, wood paneling, old-world charm—it all hits the right notes.

It’s the kind of place you want to linger, sip something brown in a rocks glass, and slowly make your way through dinner.

The Verdict

Armitage Ale House is the real deal. It’s tough to get into for a reason. The food delivers, the setting is spot on, and the whole experience feels intentional. Gluten-free options aren’t the star here, but there’s enough flexibility on the menu to make it work—and when it works, it’s worth it.
