Yolk
Normally one doesn’t review breakfast places but I think we might have to start a new trend. We have been to Yolk a few times since getting a place in the city and have been very impressed with the experience.
I have been told that it gets crowded on weekends and from what I can see that will be true. We have been using the NoWait app to reserve our place in line and it’s worked wonderfully.
I have had a few dishes at Yolk. I have done a vegetarian omelet which was excellent, eggs and chicken (needed an additional shot of protein so I went for the grilled chicken) and a few more egg orders. Staci tried the homemade yogurt and the Monte Cristo.
In each instance we tried the pancakes on the side as well. It’s worth mentioning and giving a shout out to the syrup. It makes the pancakes devine.
The Monte Cristo was an interesting item. I can’t say it wasn’t great and I can’t say it was great. It was however, a little different which I believe is clouding my judgement. The toast was really sweet French toast so the sandwich was slightly different than all others I have had. It was so sweet we felt compelled to use syrup which was a first for us on a Monte Cristo.
This is an excellent breakfast place that is a must go with multiple locations around the city!
