Dolce
Staci and I had the pleasure of dinning with two ver good friends of ours Doug and Traci.
We decided to give Dolce a spin and see how good it was.
The restaurant has good ambiance and is a nice addditon to the city for us. I think one thing we would like to see improved is consistency of the food. Some of the dishes were excellent while a few were just ok. For example, both Staci and I ordered fish. While they were different dishes, hers was dry and I noticed her pushing it around her plate while mine was cooked as expected. I think it is more a kitchen thing than quality of the meal.
We samples the meatballs along with the scallops and both were very good.
For dinner I had the whole roasted brazino which was good and tasty. I enjoyed the flavor of the fish!
Staci had the seared halibut that was a tad dry as mentioned above.
Traci had the halibut and had no complaints which I believe tends to point to consistency and Doug had a pasta which he finished happily.
As a side note, I want to give a shout out to the Moscow Mule! Turning into a bit of an expert by accident here but it was well done.
We had 2 desserts shared between the 4 of us. We had one chocolate and one apple. I felt the chocolate was very well done but the Apple wasn’t quite up to my preferences. That said it was plated well and presentation was good, just not my style when I want an Apple based dessert
