Galit

Galit

Anthony and I went to Galit in Lincoln Park last night and we were very pleased. My general impression is the first two courses were fantastic. The main course was not nearly as good but was not bad and the dessert was Amazing.

We started with a hummus with brisket which was fantastic. We had followed that with the Falafel and Halal. Both were really good. Then came some sausage and some pastrami. The sausage was a little spicy nothing too much but the pastrami was a bit dry. Interesting the sauces all hit well and made up for any other missing flavors. Finally we had the rice pudding.

They were fantastic with Gluten Free as everything could be identified, the servers were able to tell me what would change if anything and at each presentation they again confirmed it was Gluten Free. For those of us who fight the gluten allergy that’s a nice touch.

I would definitely go back, but I think in the mains I might stick with fish or veggie forward dishes as I tend to think that might be where they excel. All in a great place.
