Topolobampo
It was a Friday night in June when we decided we needed to give Topolobampo a shot. How often do you get to sample a Michelin Star Mexican restaurant.
We tried 4 tasting menus. Anthony and I got the Standard Art menu while Brianna had a custom menu and Staci had a decidedly fish menu.
I have to say I was a little surprised that we had to wait for our table. I have been to many Michelin restaurants and this was my first wait ever. I am assuming this might have been the case due to them sharing their place with their non Michelin spot as well.
Once we got behind the “door” we saw the service pick up markedly. We started with some margaritas that were excellent. So good that Brianna went back to Frontera for a Margarita the next weekend.
The food was good but I wouldn’t give it 5 GStars.
The meal started with a tuna tartare under a nice noodle type dish.
We then progressed to the balance of the courses. I will let the photos do the talking. All in we had an 800 meal. I wouldn’t say no to going again but I am not craving a second seating. I am going to rate this a solid 4 GStars only due to cost vs flavor
