Mercadito

Excellent Mexican Restaurant in River North.  We have had the opportunity to enjoy Mercadito two times now.  Once with Staci and I and once with Mark, Sammy, Staci and I.  Both times we enjoyed the food along with the beverages.   

I started the evening with the Margarita and Staci started with a cinnamon sangria that enticed her to have a second.

 For dinner we had the cheese appetizer along with the Rock Shrimp.  The cheese appetizer is a must do but not sure I need the rock shrimp a second time.   What makes the meal however is the tortilla.  For some reason they have excellent flavor and texture and make the meal!

I would say for Mexican food it’s a 5 Star GLife rating and probably a 4Star overall.  

One word of caution: it’s loud and crowded so take that into consideration depending on group and time of day.
